Guesthouse is in a great location just by the Hallgrimskirkja church and a 12 minute walk to the bus station. I booked it because I had a very early flight and wanted to be able to walk to the bus station to get the very early bus to the airport. I booked the basic single room which did not have an en-suite bathroom. I would have preferred an en-suite but there were none available when I booked, but for the two nights I was there sharing was not an issue. There were four rooms sharing the bathroom and kitchen area, but I only saw one other guest in our space so perhaps the rooms were not all in use when I was there. I never had to wait and the bathroom was very clean all times. The shared kitchen are was likewise spotless and well equipped - I only used it for making a sandwich and a cup of tea, but there were facilities to cook a full meal if you wanted. The basic single room was small but was fine for what I needed, I didn’t spend much time in it other than sleeping. Bed was comfy. I arrived after the reception had closed but was sent clear instructions by email and text and it was easy to get let in and collect my key. Overall a comfortable, well managed guesthouse in a great location.

I arrived late at night and remote check-in couldn't have been smoother. The room was good and bright, and include a little lavatory (if you feel the room too hot, follow the instructions to open the window and it will be perfect). Sharing the bathroom was perfectly fine, I never had to wait and, above all, everything was immaculately clean. Kitchenette /kitchen are a great help in a city where food prices are very high. The staff is very attentive and helpful, both in terms of making suggestions and even arranging tours and transfers, which is very practical. The central location is unbeatable: next to Hallgrimskirkja, and within walking distance of both the Harpa Concert Hall and the central bus station. Initially I only booked 3 nights, but I had no doubt in returning after a 3-day tour abroad.

Great guesthouse right across from the famous church -Hallgirmskirkja . I could see the church straight out my window while lying in a very comfortable bed. Great comforter. The Sunna was perfect in every way. Very clean, shared bathrooms and showers too, very quite. Very close to all the Reykjavík attractions and museums, walkable everywhere including all the shopping, dining , coffee and traditional Icelandic markets you could ask for and close to the harbor and the Perlan Museum. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any directions or recommendations. This place gets a 10 all the way. I stayed 4 nights and will stay again when I return to glorious Iceland 🇮🇸!!

Room just like the photos. Very tidy, well heated and hot water available 24/7 without an issue. I note a previous review complaining about an egg/sulphur like smell to the hot water. This is indeed there but a very quick google shows this is common across Iceland, especially in Reykjavik. The location is superb with you being a 10 minute walk at maximum from all the central locations and a 1 minute walk from a popular bus stop for tours and airport shuttles. Excellent wifi. Great daily breakfast (cold) with lots of options. Very helpful reception staff. Very short walk to local swimming pool which is excellent to attend in the early morning!

Can’t beat the location, can walking to everything downtown if you choose. We had a car and drove some (to Perlan for example) but the free parking on site was a huge perk. We had an early morning flight arrival and were able to check in around 10-11:00am which was very helpful to take a minute to regroup and park the car before exploring the city. Maps available were super beneficial. Quiet room (# 4), very clean, cozy beds. Would definitely stay here again, especially if I had a car.
